On a recent trip to my local wood suppliers to pick up some more wood, I always have a look in the offcut/bargain bin as you'll never know what you might find.
This time I came across an 8" length of Spalted Beech about 1 3/4inch square, thinking this might be handy for some Pike bungs it came home with me.
I went for the traditional style with the cut out for the line.
The peg going through the float was made from Walnut.
Float body is around 50mm long and 30mm diameter.
